Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Site Assessment a. Conduct a detailed survey of the Municipal Complex, including all buildings and structures. b. Evaluate existing fire protection systems and infrastructure. 2. Design Requirements a. Develop a comprehensive sprinkler system design that adheres to State and local building codes, fire codes and regulations, and industry standards. b. Include detailed design plans showing pipe layouts, sprinkler head locations, valve locations, and connections. c. Perform hydraulic calculations to ensure adequate water supply and pressure. d. Incorporate energy-efficient and environmentally friendly solutions where possible. 3. Technical Specifications a. Provide technical specifications for all system components, including sprinkler heads, piping, valves, pumps, and alarms. b. Ensure the design includes provisions for future expansion or modifications if needed. 4. Compliance and Standards a. Ensure the design meets the currently adopted National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards and the Claremont Fire Department’s standards. b. Include recommendations for any required structural modifications to accommodate the sprinkler system. 5. Documentation a. Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including detailed drawings, specifications, and calculations. b. Provide a written report summarizing the design approach, system features, and any assumptions made during the design process. c. Help with creating bid documents (RFP for the installation of the system). 6. Review and Revisions a. Present the design to the municipality and Fire Department for review and feedback. b. Make necessary revisions based on feedback and resubmit updated designs. i. Any changes or additions made to comply with Fire Code or Claremont regulations do not constitute an add-on price. 7. Timeline a. Develop a project timeline with milestones for design completion, reviews, and final delivery.
