Specifications include, but are not limited to: Under this special facilities and sole source procurement exemption, Pierce County intends to make purchases from CUES, Inc. for components, replacement parts, and off-site repairs for CUES, Inc, sewer line inspection equipment. On-site work at County facilities is not included in this exemption. This exemption will be valid for 12 months, with a total estimated cost of $750,000. As the Original Equipment Manufacturer, CUES, Inc. is the only entity with the access to components and expertise necessary to provide replacement parts and maintain the County’s CUES, Inc. equipment. As a result, Pierce County has identified the following minimum qualifications to meet the County’s need and provide the contracted services: 1. Authorization by the OEM or ability to obtain authorization to sell and repair CUES, Inc. equipment. 2. Experience, equipment, and expertise necessary to perform off-site repair services on equipment manufactured by CUES, Inc.
