Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor is responsible for securing all MWS equipment such as laptops, tablets, meters, mxu's command links and all other devices Contractor is responsible for any damage to water softeners or customer-owned pressure pumps. Contractor is also responsible for any damage it causes to the backflow device while doing work on site. Contractor will respond immediately to any accounts left off [out of service] while changing meters. Contractor will have an after-hours employee available to respond. Contractor liability will include all parts and labor for one (1) year from date of installation. Contractor is responsible for replacing any defective wiring, meters or transmitters. Any malfunctioning equipment must be replaced prior to the next reading cycle. Contractor is responsible for the following services as reported by customers for one (1) year after meter exchange: * Repair leaks inside and outside of meter box. * Backflush service lines to correct low pressure. * Repair and/or replace damaged meter boxes. * Repair and/or replace damaged customer service lines. * Repair and/or replace damaged MWS service line. * Repair damaged sidewalks and driveways. Contractor will notify MWS immediately if the work disturbs service on a water line or accesses the water supply directly (i.e., pipe breach). MWS will direct appropriate response to the situation and enable the proper system flushing protocol to clear the disturbed water lines. Repairs required due to the Contractor actions shall be made at the Contractor's expense.
