Specifications include, but are not limited to: The MDOT State Highway Administration Salisbury Shop is soliciting bids for a roadside grass mowing contract in Wicomico County. Mowing State Highway right of ways along chosen state highway routes will be done using approved tractor powered flail mowers only. The contract resulting from this solicitation will include lump sum price for 2 cycles of mowing, during the early fall of 2024 continuing into the late spring of 2025, limited to the amount of the successful bid. The vendor shall supply a minimum of 2 tractors with operators daily for mowing operations. Mowing routes are specified on page 4. Note: If all bids exceed $50,000 this procurement will be cancelled and re-advertised as a formal procurement. Item 1001: Timeframe of mowing cycles shall approximately start: Beginning of September 2024, with 2nd cycle anticipated for May/June of 2025. Timing may change at the Engineer’s determination or based on weather patterns. This contract will consist of at least 2 flail tractor mowers daily on the following routes: • US50 (Business) from East Main Street (Salisbury) to Hobbs Road Estimated (20 acres) • US50 Hobbs Rd 19.60 MP to Wicomico. Co /Worcester. Co line 30.69 MP Estimated (142 acres)
