1.1. The mission of the Board is to improve public education in Arizona by sponsoring charter schools that provide quality educational choices. In order to achieve that mission, ASBCS has set approving only high-quality applications as one of their strategic goals. ASBCS staff members are committed to conducting rigorous application decision-making processes consistent with national best practices. 1.2. The Board approves applications based on criteria established in its annually approved New Charter Application instructions, on the independent Technical Review Panel’s (TRP) completed review and recommendation, and on additional information as presented to the Board such as information from a due diligence review. 1.3. The Board seeks a contract with an organization to provide the services outlined below and the Scope of Work detailing each item. The amount of work is contingent on the number of applications received annually and reflects the overall services being requested by the Board. There is no guarantee on the amount of work from year to year.
