Contractor shall: A. Remove and dispose of one (1) existing Briefing Room HVAC unit according to federal, state, and local regulations. B. Install one new commercial grade Energy Star rated 5-ton Comfort Series 14 Heat Pump Packaged Unit, or equivalent, with adjustable roof curb, including parts, fittings, and rebuild kits to connect to the existing piping if needed. New equipment pad to be installed, if necessary. C. New unit to be reconnected to the original supply and return air elbows, flashings, plenums and ductwork in a horizontal configuration. D. New unit to be connected to existing electrical wiring, thermostat wiring, and condensate piping. E. A new electrical disconnect with fuses to be installed at the unit. F. New package unit will be installed with a new gas flex with an emergency shut-off valve. G. Existing condensate lines to be blown out with compressed air before connecting new unit, to ensure that it is clear. H. All new connections shall be sealed for greater energy efficiency. I. Where applicable, Contractor is to seek any public utility rebates and pass the cost savings on to the California Highway Patrol. J. Contractor shall start-up and test unit to ensure proper operation and to make any adjustments needed.
