Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of Natural Resources, Alaska Mental Health Trust Land Office, is soliciting proposals for as needed land management and silviculture practices on Trust land. Silviculture practices include, but are not limited to, canopy modification, pre-commercial thinning, weed control, tree planting, tree harvesting and site preparation. The contracted work will be in southeast Alaska. The TLO and Contractor will work jointly to designate the lands on which silviculture practices are to occur. The Contractor will be required to provide the following deliverables as needed: 1. Consultation on development of Forest management plan, 2. Site preparation reports, 3. Silviculture treatment documentation, 4. Silviculture practices, 5. Pre and post practice estimates on stocking and species, 6. Assessment of expected ecological impact of forest management practices, 7. Monitoring protocols.
