Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency (“MDHA” or “Owner”) is seeking vendors for Seal, Striping, Crack Filler & Repair Asphalt Surfaces for Gernert Studio Apartments, Hadley Park Towers, Madison Towers, Parthenon Towers, Vine Hill Studio Apartments, Edgefield Manor and Carleen Batson Waller Manor. ProtecTar Coal Tar Sealer, or approved equal, consisting of highly refined ceramic slurries that are milled with coal tar pitch and selected emulsifying agents. This product shall meet or exceed Federal Specification R-P-355e and ATM Specification D-3320. Two applications of the sealer may be brushed, squeegee, or applied with mechanical equipment. The pavement must be sound, as well as being free of dirt, dust, clay, sand, vegetation, and all other loose materials. Attention must be given to the treatment of petroleum residues. All holes, crumbled areas, and cracks must be repaired before sealing. When repairing damaged surfaces, the damaged area is to be sawcut and removed and repaired with 4” of asphalt prior to sealing.
