The Phase 1 work to be performed shall include the removal of approximately 36 linear feet (LF) of 42” corrugated metal pipe (CMP), 53 LF of 48” CMP, one concrete headwall, one drop inlet, pavement, existing trees and vegetation. Approximately 102 LF of existing 42” CMP will be abandoned, capped, and filled with grout. The Project includes the installation of approximately 164 LF of 42” reinforced concrete pipe (RCP), one cast-inplace concrete headwall, one precast drop inlet (GDOT STD. 1019A), two precast reinforced concrete manholes (GDOT STD. 1011-A), asphalt pavement, and erosion control measures. Approximately 81 LF of existing 42” CMP and 72 LF of existing 42” RCP will be centrifugally cast concrete pipe (CCCP) lined, as well as three existing structures. Protection of an existing water line, power pole, and sign and coordination with providers to relocate as required is included in the scope of the project. Phase 2 shall include the design and installation of helical piers along with underpinning brackets every 6’-8’ as specified by a structural engineer on the north side of the building slab on 8490 Hospital Drive and the south side of the building slab on 8480 Hospital Drive. The Project site is located within the City of Douglasville, Douglas County.
