The Office of Tobacco Prevention and Cessation (OTPC) within Maricopa County Department of Public Health (MCDPH) is committed to supporting the community by implementing comprehensive tobacco prevention and cessation curricula which incorporate trauma-informed and social emotional learning opportunities. Additionally, addressing the increasing effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) for high-risk populations disproportionately affected by tobacco is essential for comprehensive tobacco control. With these in mind, MCDPH would like to contract with a qualified Contractor to develop curricula that recognizes the interconnectedness of trauma and ACEs with tobacco prevention and cessation. It is essential for the Contractor to design tailored curricula that provide trauma-informed care to help individuals heal from past trauma, mitigate barriers by creating safe and supportive environments, and develop healthier coping mechanisms to smoking cessation for long-term success. Additionally, the Contractor will need to provide technical assistance to OTPC to ensure accurate utilization of the curricula. The initial contract period shall be for approximately seven (7) months. It is our intent to select one Contractor to carry out the specified work with a total budget that does not exceed $200,000. Compensation shall be paid out upon successful completion of deliverables. The Contractor may invoice as needed with the final invoice due no later than May 31, 2025.
