.0 SPECIFICATIONS AND SCOPE OF WORK 3.1 Overview- Our intent is secure qualified vendors that are approved resellers for the sales, service and support for woodworking, metalworking, and other related machinery. Awarded contractors should have the ability to provide turnkey service to include delivery of equipment, installation, training and post-sales services as needed. 3.2 Scope of Work – The scope of work under this contract includes providing sales and service to multiple schools in the district as needed. The scope of work for these type of equipment purchases varies from, tailgate delivery, inside delivery, installation, and other services as requested. 3.3 Work Type- This contract covers three types of work: i. Routine Quotes/Projects- Routine work associated with the function of the school system. This work will be coordinated with the FCS end user assigned to this project. FCS will request a quote for this work based on the pricing and structure of the contract. ii. Larger Projects- FCS may opt to utilize this contract if it deems in the best interest for projects of larger scope and scale. In this event, FCS may negotiate with one or more awarded contractors in order to more accurately reflect leveraged spend associated with larger scale bidding. FCS is the sole determinant regarding the use of this contract or the use of separate solicitation for larger projects. iii. Emergency Work- FCS may expedite work deemed “emergency” in nature without the typical requirements of routine work cited above. However, all pricing must be billed at contracted rates and be itemized likewise. 3.4 Hours of Work- Contractor my delivery equipment / start work on project after: i. Authorized purchase order FCS ii. Contractor has confirmed the work schedule with FCS Facilities, School personnel, and any other designated personnel involved with the project iii. Most work shall be completed during normal business hours unless authorized by FCS iv. For purposes of this contract, FCS defines “normal business hours” as Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 7 PM. The proposal form will allow for distinction between “normal” business labor rates and overtime rates. FYI- preference may be shown to contractors who offer one single rate. v. Emergency Work- Contractor should comply with agreed upon response time for all emergency work as requested.
