The Contractor shall receive samples in quantities and at intervals agreed upon by the Agency personnel and Contractor for forensic DNA testing. 17.4.2. Up to four (4) evidentiary samples contained within the sexual assault evidence collection kit should be screened for male DNA. Where applicable, evidence samples shall be screened with a male DNA screening approach using the commercial quantification kit Applied Biosystems Quantifiler TrioTM. The evidentiary samples may be selected based on the alleged assault type, if reported. Underwear (if included inside the kit) shall be processed as needed. Additional clothing items and bulk items should not be included in the flat rate pricing. In the event the assailant is female, or the assault is female on female, samples shall proceed to DNA testing if human DNA is present in the sample. 17.4.3.
