Prepare site-specific design criteria for the retaining wall based upon the local authority having jurisdiction. Coordinate with geotechnical engineer to obtain design recommendations for the retaining wall. Coordinate with the design team to determine final facing of wall, location of pedestrian barriers, property lines and limits of excavation, as required. Develop preliminary structural calculations for the retaining wall. Submit 30% construction documents in electronic PDF format for the retaining wall. Plans will indicate location of the new wall, approximate pile spacing and lagging information and approximate location of proposed guardrail behind the new wall. A sheet set is noted below: Cover Sheet General Note Sheet Plan and Elevation Sheet Task 2: 100% Wall Structural Plans Develop final structural calculations for the retaining wall. Coordinate with the Contractor on any field conditions that may impact the new wall layout and design. Attend one site visit to coordinate with the Client and Contractor in the development of the construction documents. Submit 100% construction documents in electronic PDF format for the retaining wall. Plans will indicate location of the new wall, final pile spacing and lagging information and location of proposed handrail behind the new wall. The following additional coordination items will be included in the deliverable: Relocation of electrical boxes, roadway signs and electrical conduits to be noted on the plans as items to be coordinated by the Contractor. Removal of an abandoned drilled shaft foundation at the start of the wall (south side). Removal and replacement of concrete slab sections that are damaged or that will be impacted within the scope of work.
