Specifications include, but are not limited to: General: • Collect traffic counts for the building periphery. • Determine existing baseline noise levels at the site. • Determine DNLs, including 10 years in the future, at each building’s façade. Site Visit & Noise Measurements • Visit the site to survey the property and conduct short-term Leq measurements at different locations. • Conduct a noise analysis taking result of the short-term noise measurements into account and provide recommendations to meet the project’s noise goal inside the apartments. • Issue a written report. • Attend virtual meetings and conference calls as necessary to discuss findings, and recommendations. Architectural Acoustics Design Development • Attend virtual meetings and conference calls as necessary with the architect, owner, and other disciplines to determine specific acoustical design requirements, and provide recommendations. • Confirm the design criteria for STC and IIC ratings based on building code requirements and the owner’s expectations. • Review windows STC ratings at adjacent to plaza, park, and playgrounds.
