i. The Successful Bidder (hereafter referred to as "Contractor") shall, at its own expense, secure all necessary permits (including a Cook County Demolition Permit), a Soil Erosion Permit (if required by Cook County) and a demolition permit from the Village of Westchester. The Contractor must also register as a contractor with the Village of Westchester. ii. The Contractor is responsible for properly notifying all utility providers of the pending demolition, ensuring the disconnection of utilities including gas, electric, cable TV, and any other utilities connected to the commercial building. iii. The Contractor must provide the Village with proof of disconnection of all utilities prior to the commencement of demolition activities. iv. The Contractor shall cut and cap all Village sewer, storm sewer, and water lines and obtain Cut/Cap Inspection Approval from the Village Department of Public Works. v. The Contractor shall proceed with the demolition and removal of the main structure. vi. The Contractor is also responsible for the demolition and removal of any and all accessory structures, footings, and concrete slabs. vii. Complete removal of the entire basement, including walls and floors, is required. viii. The Contractor must maintain cleanliness at the project site, systematically clearing refuse as work progresses.
