It is the University’s intent to award a contract to one or more firms who will be responsible for providing Tree Trimming and Removal Services in accordance with the specifications, terms and conditions of this solicitation; Expected announcement of award is during the month of September 2024. 2.8 TREE REMOVAL 2.8.1 Removal of designated tree(s) marked by the Owners, including the stump, located on Owners’ property. 2.8.2 The trunk diameter measured at 4.5 foot above ground, known as diameter at breast height, or DBH. 2.8.3 For multi-trunk trees the average diameter (DBH) of all main stems shall be considered as the diameter for such trees. 2.8.4 No Public tree, within UCM Campus, shall be removed unless identified and marked by the Owners’ Designee for removal. 2.8.5 Any tree removed/felled shall be removed/felled according to ANSI A300 and ANSI Z133.1 standards. 2.8.6 The stump shall not be left higher than three (3) inches above ground level when removing a tree.
