• The City of Johnson City, Tennessee has owned and operated the Freedom Hall Civic Center since its grand opening on the 5th of July 1974, hosting over 2,000 shows and events since that time; • The 170,080 square foot facility completed a $15M facility renovation between 2010 and 2017 involving the arena, seating, concourse, concession areas, restrooms, HVAC, electrical upgrade interior/exterior lighting, roof, exterior stairs and walkways, installation of a new freight/public elevator, and paving. • Freedom Hall has a fixed seating capacity of 6868, three box office locations, four concession areas, a commercial kitchen/cafeteria, dressing rooms/showers, auxiliary gymnasium, and 1845 parking spaces covering ten(10) public parking lots; • The sale of alcohol at this facility was approved in July 2021, subject to state and local license requirements; • Currently, Freedom Hall averages approximately 20-22 ticketed events per year plus the (15-19) hme basketball games of East Tennessee State University which has an continuing facility lease to use the Freedom Hall Civic Center as its home court; • The facility has six (6) full time employees and has used temporary/contract personnel to support ticketing, security, parking, and concessions operations as required.
