This project will drive towards a final report delivered in May 2025. In order to meet that deadline, we will secure a fundraising and startup database tool in September 2024 to begin initial research. This database, which is the focus of this RFQ, should include information on: ● Washington state technology startups ● Venture capital firms investing into Washington state startups, for firms both located within and outside of the state ● Sector specific information on technology startups (i.e. AI startups) ● Fundraising information including amount raised, stage of capital, and similar; Additionally, an ideal database will include: ● Information on startups and their fundraising activities nationally and globally so we can benchmark for Washington state ● Information on mergers, acquisitions, and IPOs along with exit value to gauge success of startups ● Information on mature private companies and later-stage startups ● Already produced reports that include contextual and summary information about fundraising trends. The database should include exportable information and be as up to date as possible.
