A. 73,000 LBS. GVWR TRUCK CAB AND CHASSIS WITH STEEL DUMP BODY. 1. Model: New, Current Production Year or Later. 2. GVWR: 73,000 lbs. 3. Cab: Conventional cab with factory installed air conditioning, cab air suspension, cab sound insulation and largest cab rear window as available from the manufacturer. Rear corner cab windows and passenger door cut out (peeper) window below the primary door window or additional mirrors that provide similar visibility shall be provided. A stair step design for cab access shall be included. 4. Hood: Forward tilting, manufactured from high strength composite material or fiberglass. Hood shall be capable of tilting sufficiently to provide reasonable access to engine compartment and shall include inner fender splash shields. 5. Frame: Frame shall be of sufficient rating and design for application per selected body company. Frame shall be constructed of at minimum 100,000 PSI yield strength steel and a minimum resisting bending movement (“RBM”) of 1,960,400 in.-lbs. Frame liner combination shall not be acceptable. 6. Overall Height: Maximum overall height of the completed truck shall not exceed 144”. 7. Wheelbase: As dictated by Cab/Trunnion dimension. 8. Cab-Trunnion: As required by the body manufacturer for the body provided. 9. Front Axle: Minimum 20,000 lbs. rated capacity; set back position. 10. Front Suspension: Minimum 20,000 lbs. capacity with shock absorbers and front auxiliary rubber springs as required by the manufacturer. 11. Rear Axle: Tandem, Meritor MT-40-14X-P, Dana-Spicer D-40-170P or approved substitute with minimum 0.43” housing wall thickness; single reduction axle, minimum 40,000 lb. rated capacity with driver controlled main locking differential in rear rear axle. Differential ratio shall be selected by the City prior to build based on the manufacturer’s standard offerings.
