The City of Valdosta will purchase one stationary diesel generator with sound attenuated enclosure. The project would install a new diesel-powered standby generator with 60 kw capacity. The generator will start automatically and switch operations to the backup power generator. The generator would be sized to operate the lift station for multiple days during extended power outage situations. This will permit the station to utilize the existing automatic switch (ATS ASCO Cat. No D03ATSA30200FGXH Serial No. 2158304 RE) , switching to generator power whenever a utility power outage occurs. The generator pad already exists directly where the original generator is, existing generator may have to be removed. The project area is at a lift station owned by the City of Valdosta off Howellbrook Dr. The purpose for this generator is to provide emergency backup electrical power for the Mack Drive sewer lift station. All generator proposals submitted for consideration will be NFPA compliant and adequately sized for each location. The operator interface will afford comprehensive monitoring of the genset. Engines will meet tier 3 emissions standards at minimum. The generator sets will be covered by a 1-year warranty at minimum.
