performing scheduled and unscheduled (emergency) mechanical, electrical, and civil installations, repairs, or maintenance at Big Bend owned or operated potable water facilities at times and places directed by the Engineer. These required activities shall consist of providing the necessary equipment, labor, materials, and services required to perform the installation, replacement, or repair of mechanical, electrical, or civil system as directed by the Engineer, Commitment Drawings, or authorized Contract Manager. In general, these activities may consist of performing emergency electrical repairs or installations; electrical maintenance or testing; installation of mechanical equipment including pumps, valves, backflows, or meters; repair or replacement of mechanical equipment; emergency response to diagnose and repair mechanical equipment within the treatment plant and supporting facilities; emergency repair or replacement of civil piping in the Public Right of Way which may require marking the work area in white, notifying One Call, planning and setting barricades, acquiring required permits, setting shoring, cutting and placing asphalt, maintaining dewatering activities, backfilling and compacting excavation areas, and restoration of surfaces; and similar activities associated with the operation and maintenance of potable water facilities and appurtenances at times and places directed by the Engineer.
