This bid is intended to provide for annual on-call street repair services by approved contractors based upon unit prices of work items requested herein. 2.2. The City of Lincoln intends to select an approved, responsive contractor to provide oncall street repair services as part of this effort. 2.3. Typical projects to be performed under this contract will consist of repairing pavement damage caused from watermain breaks. 2.4. Upon being notified of pavement needing repair, the Contractor shall promptly respond. 2.4.1. The area shall be backfilled and tamped using < 7/8 rock for a depth of one foot above top of pipe. Above the rock, clean fill dirt shall be used. 2.4.2. City of Lincoln specifications for L-3500 or L-5500 concrete, as specified by the City, shall be used for the repairs. 2.4.3. For repairs deemed an emergency, concrete shall be poured within 72 hours of notification by the City, exclusive of holidays, weekends, and inclement weather. Asphalt surface course shall be placed no earlier than 48 hours and no later than 72 hours after the base is poured. 2.4.4. For repairs deemed non-emergency, the timeframe to complete repairs will generally be 14 to 21 days. The City shall specify the time frame for the work to be completed. 2.4.5. Failure to meet these performance requirements may result in contract cancellation. 2.4.5.1.
