The current elevator is a Montgomery KONE model MIPROM SL. It was installed in 1995. Due to the lack of parts for this model Ellis County is looking to modernize this elevator. Controller replacement: All aspects of this fob shall meet A17.1 2019 Code. The new controller shall be a Virginia controls hydraulic MH-3000 with leveling unit and hoist way switches being replaced as well. All hoist way and car wiring shall be replaced. The door operator and clutch shall be retained. All car door and hoist way door rollers shall be replaced. Car door restricting device shall be upgraded to a fixed retractable dover style car door bar and fixed floor vanes. Car station shall be innovation industries oem retrofit swing return with bruiser halo pushbuttons. The car station shall also have an emergency light incorporated into it. Hall fixtures shall be innovation industries surface mount with bruiser halo series pushbuttons as well. They shall cover existing boxes and incorporate all signage required by code. All Victaulic rubbers shall be replaced and shut off valves added where required. The 4th floor shall be operated by a security lock out key switch that overrides on fire service. Ellis County will provide phone lines to meet requirements. Ellis County will provide disconnect requirements, as well as any additional hoist way requirements, but the elevator contractor shall be responsible for coordinating with the contractor to help meet and facilitate these needs i.e. running car, etc. Ellis County has been granted variances from the State Fire Marshal’s office for not installing text/audio equipment, installation of a machine room and climate control and installation of sprinkler system . A copy of the letter is included with this RFP. This bid is all inclusive: meaning none of the above mentioned items and labor to install them will be revised without written approval of Ellis County. Prior to submitting a proposal, a walkthrough of the facility and operational area of the elevator is mandatory. Please contact Ellis County to make an appointment.
