The College intends to contract for the Chilled Water Coil Replacement in the Classroom Laboratory Building (CLB) on the College’s main campus. JCCC is requesting bids of replacing chilled water coils on air handlers 1 and 2 at our Classroom Laboratory Building (CLB). Contractors shall remove and install manufactured new coils. Contractors to use air handler unit data and balance report .pdf as attached. It is also recommended for the bidder to coordinate with Kevin Swisher, Maintenance Supervisor cell 785-766-7498 email kswishe3@jccc.edu to site-measure size in order to have the coils built. Also, the basis for design of the coils is a sixteen (16) degrees Fahrenheit with delta T. Contractor shall bid work after hours during weekdays (10 pm – 7 am) and weekends as approved by owner. If leadtimes allow, preference would be to have the project completed over JCCC winter holiday break (December 24, 2024 – January 1, 2025). Contractor shall coordinate work times with owner’s representative. When air handlers need to be shut down to remove or install coils, they need to be running the next day for heating or cooling of occupants. JCCC wants to recycle the old coils and contractor needs to remove coils from site and place as directed by owner to an on-site location on the main campus.
