The City has heard from applicants that the current process is slower than it used to be, there are disconnects in the process caused by multiple reviewers in multiple departments, and the migration to SmartGov has not created efficiencies. Deliverables: Evaluate the type of permits and recommend what permits we need to add or delete. Evaluate and document recommendations for how departmental organization and roles are established for the review process. Evaluate and recommend record retention policy. The city uses SmartGov for development review and LaserFische for record retention. Document workflow for each permit type through the departments and recommend workflow enhancements.
