The Water Treatment Plant to Reservoirs Planning Study would evaluate how to replace the line from the water treatment plant to the existing reservoirs. It would install 26,520 feet of new 12” PVC pipe starting at the treatment plant and heading southeast to the existing finished water reservoirs. This project would replace the old pipe in place and increase the water capacity to the reservoirs, which would allow the City to run the treatment plant at full capacity if/when necessary. The project would also study two additional routes to tie-in to the City of Hillsboro’s water supply. One route studied would be the Mt. Richmond Road and the other would study the Yamhill County railroad corridor route. This planning study is needed to evaluate the best method for replacing the transmission main and the best route to tie-in the Hillsboro’s water.
