1115 E. Whitney Road Electrical - BASE BID ITEMS: Work to be completed under this contract includes, but is not limited to; mobilization, excavation, electrical trenching, installation of new step-down transformer, provide temporary power to sustain the New Sagaya building at 1101 E. Whitney Road, the Alaska Railroad Corporation (ARRC)’s light pole and signal shack, relocate electrical services and meters for 1101 E. Whitney Road and ARRC light pole and signal shack, provide temporary power to sustain ARRC facility at 1201 E. Whitney Road, install electrical conduits and wiring, install junction box which feeds the underground cable leading to the light plant and scale shack, install (10ea) 4x4 pressure treated posts with (8ea) weatherproof electrical outlets, and (2ea) twist-lock 480V outlets, relocate fuel tank, and provide red-line as-built record drawings. Chugach Electric Association Inc. (CEA) to provide equipment, materials, supervision, and labor required to install the southern line reconnecting 1201 E. Whitney Road as shown on the Plans, as well as the transformer shown on E001 of the Plans, noted “NEW PAD-MOUNTED UTILITY XFMR. 150KVA, 3-PH 480Y/277V” and the conductors and conduits connecting the relocated service disconnect and meter for the building at 1101 E. Whitney with the transformer, as well as the line from the new transformer to the new service disconnect and meter, as shown on E100 of the Plans. CEA will also provide all equipment, materials, supervision, and labor required to connect this transformer with the city grid. Coordination will be required between Contractor, Owner, and CEA as the utility provider on timing of tasks and confirmation of availability of crew and material resources to limit shut-down times for adjacent buildings. Item No. 1 (640.0001.001) – Mobilization and Demobilization Work includes all equipment, materials, supervision, and labor required to perform work and operations necessary to move personnel, equipment, supplies and incidentals to the project site; establish offices, buildings, and other facilities, except those provided by the Owner, perform other work and operations and pay costs incurred, before beginning construction; complete similar demobilization activities; and furnish required submittals such as as-built (record) drawings, certificates, daily reports, payrolls, civil rights reports, and equipment/work warranties as specified. The Owner does not anticipate at this time providing the Contractor with utilities or support facilities. Therefore, the Contractor shall anticipate providing their own utility and support facilities necessary to complete the work and/or provide for their employees. Contractor must comply with the Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development requirements as noted herein.
