Georgia State University through the Office of Research and Environmental Safety, herein referred to as the University, is soliciting quotes for an annual Regulated Medical Waste (RMW) disposal contract for all University campuses (Main and satellite campuses of Georgia State University). Services to be provided under this contract shall include the inspection, packaging, transport, and disposal of regulated medical waste as defined by 49 CFR 173.134 and 29 CFR 1910.1030. The inspection, packaging, transport, and disposal of waste, herein collectively referred to as "removal", will be conducted under the supervision of the University's Associate Director, Biosafety (see Section F - Point of Contact) and will follow the guidelines set forth by all applicable local, state, and federal laws regulating medical waste. The successful bidder shall possess all required government permits and approvals necessary for the handling, transport and disposal of regulated medical waste and shall provide copies of these documents at the time of bid submittal.
