Specifications include, but are not limited to: The State of Oregon, acting by and through the Oregon Department of Human Services (“ODHS”) and its office of Vocational Rehabilitation services (“VR”), is issuing this Request for Proposal (“RFP”) under the provisions of ORS 279B.060 for outreach, referral, and language services to multicultural populations with disabilities when English is not the primary language or when other multicultural services are required for the delivery of services. VR is looking for wholistic and innovative services for individuals with disabilities from various cultures and linguistic backgrounds to expand VR’s culturally- and linguistically-specific service provider base. Our intent is not to narrowly define how language, job ready, and employment skills are obtained for our Participants, but to help us meet the employment preparation goals of individuals with disabilities for whom English is not their primary language and who come from various backgrounds. VR is looking for providers who know best how to meet the cultural, linguistic, and employment service needs of those whose intersectional identity includes disabilities that are a barrier to employment.
