Replace the existing chiller system at the Town of Merrimack’s Public Library. Assess the current system and advise the Library regarding the feasibility of changing from electric to gas hook ups. Demolition/Alteration of Existing Systems: Existing chiller, associated refrigerant piping & chilled water pump, and concrete pad shall be removed and disposed of. Install a new 22-ton chiller system and new concrete equipment pad. The outdoor unit shall be located on the new concrete chiller pad and shall be installed on an 18” snow stand with snow hood. Installer will need to handle the electrical connections. If needed, replace existing fan coil units. Replace controls components. Connections will need to be checked and the system needs to be tested to ensure the new chiller works. Provide timeline and scope of work for chiller replacement. Take into consideration the Retro-commissioning Report performed by Resilient Buildings Group in 2024 and the Energy Report performed by S.E.E.D.S. (Sustainable Energy Education Demonstration Services) in 2022 that notes the need to replace the aging system. The two reports will be made available to interested bidders.
