All wash and detail services shall include all tasks and materials needed to retrieve the keys and vehicle from the lot, move the vehicle to and from the cleaning and drying areas and return it to the staging area on the lot, as directed by the Program’s KC staff. The type of wash or detail needed will be determined by KC staff and noted in writing to the Contractor. If the Contractor determines that an alternate type of wash or detail is needed, the Contractor will request authorization and receive confirmation in writing from KC staff. Interior Detail Remove all trash, personal items, and program materials as determined by vehicle status. Vacuum and shampoo/wash or steam clean all upholstery (vinyl, cloth, or leather seats) and all carpeted areas of the van. All carpets, upholstery, and floor mats will be steamed or dry cleaned and will use a carpet extractor to remove contaminants and excessive moisture. Clean dash, gauges, vents, instruments, visors, steering wheel and column, center console, and trim with a damp cloth and Program approved disinfectant. Clean out all crevices thoroughly with steam, brushes, rags, etc., to get rid of old or trapped trash debris. Wipe clean all door panels, door jams, and step wells with a damp cloth and Program approved disinfectant. (No oil-based products, such as Armoral, shall be used on any flooring areas). Clean all windows inside to leave no residue. Return clean floor mats to position only when carpets are dry. Restock accessories as needed on all vehicles not marked for sale. Exterior Detail Wash, wax, and buff exterior of vehicle. Wash roof area. Wash and dress rims and tires. Clean all windows outside to leave no residue. Logos have been removed on “for sale” vans and may require additional buffing to remove light logo shadows or adhesive residue. Complete Detail Includes all interior and exterior detail items and a clean engine compartment area. Clean Engine Compartment Remove all dirt, debris, grease, and grime from under the hood and upper engine area, ensuring no damage to engine components, and in compliance with all applicable environmental laws and regulations. Exterior Wash Wash the exterior of the van only. Touch Up / Spiff Clean (Spiff) Remove all trash, personal items, and program materials as determined by vehicle status. Vacuum seats and carpet.
