• The work of this contract includes concrete cleaning and steel coating repairs at the Freeport and Brunswick stations, as described below and in the attached Plans and Specifications. • The Contractor shall procure and maintain, at its sole cost and expense, the following insurance coverages naming the Northern New England Passenger Rail Authority (“NNEPRA”) as insured, in forms and with companies and coverage limits satisfactory to NNEPRA: oComprehensive General Liability Insurance protecting against liability from bodily injury or property damage arising out of the Project. o Workers Compensation and Occupational Disease Insurance, as required by law. oAutomobile Liability Insurance covering all motor vehicles used about or in connection with the Project. • All work for this contract shall be completed no later than November 30, 2024. Brunswick & Freeport Station Concrete Cleaning and Steel Coating Repairs • The Brunswick & Freeport Station Concrete Cleaning and Steel Coating Repairs shall be completed in accordance with the attached NNEPRA Construction Specifications for Freeport and Brunswick Station Concrete Cleaning and Steel Coating Repairs, Figures, and other miscellaneous attachments. • The Brunswick & Freeport Station Concrete and Steel Repairs will generally consist of the following work: o Mobilizing to the site and demobilizing from the site. oSupplying and maintaining barrier devices for partial closure of the rail platforms while construction is occurring. oApplying rust dissolving solution on affected area of the concrete platforms to sufficiently remove rust staining adjacent to tactile warning plates. oApplying a concrete protective coating to the concrete platform surfaces. oRepainting the yellow marking line on the concrete platforms. oRemoving rust at column bases and various locations along galvanized hand railing. Applying zinc-rich paint to the column bases, followed by generic paint to match the existing condition. Applying cold galvanizing solution to affected areas along hand railing.
