1. Conducting reviews of tree health and risk assessment associated with development applications. 2. Conducting site visits to review and document existing conditions and verify information submitted with permit applications. 3. Performing peer reviews of reports completed by other arborists. 4. Providing recommendations for tree and root damage avoidance or mitigation techniques during construction. 5. Identifying, documenting, and responding to blight, insect, and pathogen issues affecting trees specific to the northwest region. 6. Providing recommendations and specifications for replacement trees, including consideration of climate-resilient species. 7. Coordinating review and findings with applicable City staff and, when requested, the applicant and/or applicant’s Consultant. 8. Assisting code compliance personnel on unauthorized tree removal cases as needed. 9. Attending project meetings, public hearings, and public meetings as requested by City staff. 10. Providing staff and community training and workshops. 11. Assisting with outreach efforts to help raise awareness of common tree issues in the community. 12. Other review and analysis as requested by City staff.
