Upon the City's request, the selected Consultant shall provide building inspection services during construction to enforce compliance with conditions of approval, Washington State building codes and City amendments, and code requirements set forth on the approved plans for which a permit was issued. In performing such duties, the Consultant shall observe each project at the completion of the various stages of construction for compliance. This work will likely include: 1. Non-structural fire and life safety inspections 2. Structural inspections 3. Washington State Energy code inspections 4. Barrier-free inspections 5. Mechanical and plumbing inspections 6. Temporary erosion and sediment control inspections 7. Building Official services as related to building inspections 8. Provide professional technical support and expertise in the review, interpretation, and application of State Building Code Council-adopted codes and City-adopted codes, including providing support in dispute resolution, which may include serving as a professional witness in legal proceedings.
