The 3.375 perforated flap portion that begins 1” from the score line will have printed on the front the affidavit language. The 1” flap portion will have the adhesive on the reverse side of the flap (the side without printing), the area between the score line and this perforation must have an 8" x 0.5" pressure-sensitive adhesive covered with an “easy peel” strip. Adhesive must be permanent and adequate for sufficiently sealing the envelope, which must not allow the sealed envelope to be opened without tearing of paper fibers. Adhesive should be at least 0.375" from the score line where flap is folded and must be positioned so that it does NOT come in contact with the contents of the envelope (ballots) in the throat area when envelope is sealed. Perforated Pull Tab: The front of envelope must have a 0.875" wide x 4" long perforated area positioned approximately 0.75" from right edge of the envelope and approximately 0.375" from bottom edge of the envelope for the tab opening. The pull-tab is perforated on both long sides while one of the short sides is unperforated on the top of the perforation near the flap and the other is slit to help tearing of the pull-tab when it is time to remove the ballot. Perforations must be capable of withstanding handling without tearing and must extend halfway around the end of the pull tab; the other half of the end of the pull tab will be a slit, in order to facilitate opening, but such that prior to actually pulling the tab, the end remains sufficiently closed so as not to expose the contents of the envelope. Packaging Requirements: Boxes must be durable and must hold up in shipping. Skids can be packed no higher than 55 inches.
