BACKGROUND: The City of Nashua is seeking proposals from qualified property owners to lease building space, no less than 2,500 square feet, on one level, for the operation of a temporary overnight warming station from December 1, 2024 to April 30, 2025. The City is open to discussing longer lease terms. The warming station will serve as a safe and secure space for individuals experiencing homelessness to seek temporary refuge from the winter weather elements. The warming station will open at 7PM each evening and close at 7AM each morning, seven (7) days a week for the period of the contract. SERVICES REQUESTED: The Owner agrees to provide space for an overnight warming station. Qualified proposers shall provide a space with the following: • Americans with Disability Act accessible facility • Valid Certificate of Occupancy • Valid certificate of insurance • Provisions for utilities, cleaning services, trash pick-up, and janitorial supplies • 24-hour emergency contact for the site • To host no more than 40 people at a time
