The contractor shall prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals (hereinafter collectively referred to as “meals” unless otherwise specifically referenced herein) and medically necessary evening snacks (hereinafter referred to as “snacks”) for offenders assigned to the Hannibal Community Supervision Center, Department of Corrections (hereinafter referred to as “state agency”), in accordance with the provisions and requirements stated herein and to the sole satisfaction of the state agency. The contractor’s meals shall be prepared in a manner that preserves the quality and temperature of the meals. The contractor’s preparation location (defined as the location where ingredients or menu items are combined and cooked) must be within 20 miles of the state agency location at 2002 Warren Barrett Drive, Hannibal, Missouri. The contractor shall understand and agree that the state agency will notify the contractor a minimum of 24 hours in advance as to the final count of each meal and snack required for each day. At a minimum, the contractor shall prepare each meal to serve at least 20 offenders. The contractor shall understand and agree the state agency estimates that the contractor may need to provide food services for up to 60 offenders per meal. The contractor shall understand and agree the number of snacks shall remain relatively consistent on a day-to-day basis. The contractor shall understand and agree the state agency will provide the contractor with a 24-hour notice of the number of snacks required.
