The City of Bluffdale (City) together with The Point project are building a stormwater outfall to allow the stormwater from the north-east quadrant of the City and The Point development area (former State Prison) to reach the Jordan River and convey the water in the historical drainage. This project will require coordination and permitting with the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR), Utah Transit Authority (UTA), Salt Lake City (the owner of the Jordan and Salt Lake Canal), Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), and Salt Lake County Flood Control. Some of this permitting work must be completed with assistance from the contractor during design. For this reason, the City desires to deliver this project using Construction Management / General Contractor (CMGC) services.
