IDOE will contact the grant applicants and notify them of the award and amount, as well as how and when to expect a payment from the vendor. The total amount awarded to community-based providers is expected to be approximately $1,600,000. The exact amount awarded to each provider will depend on the number of classrooms they reported. IDOE will provide the contractor with verified contact names, addresses, child-care license or registration number and grant amounts for each early learning provider. The contractor will then distribute IDOE grant funding via check to eligible communitybased providers and provide IDOE a record of payments distributed (at a minimum, this should include the list of entities and the check number/dollar amount for each). Payments may be staggered but should be distributed within a one-week timeframe. Once IDOE receives and approves the record of payments, the vendor may invoice for reimbursement for checks distributed plus any agreed upon fees.
