The contractor shall provide prescribed burning, invasive species control, and selective forest thinning for the Department of Natural Resources, Natural Resources Damage and Assessment Division in accordance with the provisions and requirements stated herein and to the sole satisfaction of the state agency. 2.1.2 The contractor must use woody stem removal and tree felling methods as the primary means to remove the invasive species and forest thinning. The contractor at the guidance of the state agency shall provide prescribed burning as a secondary or additional means of removing the invasive species and selective forest thinning. 2.1.3 The contractor shall provide approximately 3 acres of invasive species control targeting cedars on the existing dolomite glade to reduce encroachment by woody species (“Glade” in Attachment 3). 2.1.4 The contractor shall provide approximately 15 acres of invasive species removal, woody stem removal, and selective thinning, to provide opportunities for glade expansion as appropriate (“Glade Expansion” in Attachment 3). 2.1.5 The contractor shall provide approximately 50 acres of cedar removal and invasive species removal in the cedar old fields (“Cedar Old Fields” in Attachment 3). 2.1.6 The contractor shall provide approximately 50 acres of selective thinning and invasive species removal in the dolomite woodlands to open the understory and shrub layer and encourage native herbaceous ground flora (“Woodland” in Attachment 3)...
