a. All work must be directed by the Library’s Manager of Building Systems (or designee). b. A 24-hour phone number must be provided. c. The Library must be considered a priority customer. The Library expects service to begin within two hours of its request. The Library expects service to be completed within four hours of Commencement when practical. d. Safety of Library staff and patrons must always be of utmost Concern. e. All equipment shall be in good working order and properly sized to perform the work. 2. Snow Removal a. All Library Branch parking areas and sidewalks are included in This proposal. b. Snow shall be moved and piled into area(s) that: i. Least disrupts traffic ii. Will melt and drain into storm sewers iii. Will not damage plantings iv. Does not block walkways or accessible parking areas c. Each plow of parking areas shall be followed by a spreading of concrete- and plant-safe snow/ice melt (NOT rock salt) at a rate of no less than 10 pounds per 1,000 s.f. d. Walks and steps shall be cleared and followed by an application of concrete-safe ice melt. 3. Ice Treatment a. Each parking area shall have concrete- and plantsafe snow/ice melt (NOT rock salt) spread at a rate of no less than 10 pounds per 1,000 s.f. b.
