The Hualapai Senior Services is seeking proposals for consultant services to conduct a Workforce Assessment of the emerging Community Health Representative (CHR) workforce and workforce advancement opportunities through the Community Health Aide Program (CHAP). For CHRs who want to advance their careers, transitioning from CHR to CHA represents a potential pathway to expand on existing CHR skills and grow the local healthcare workforce. CHAP may help fill gaps in local healthcare provision while providing culturally competent care. The goals of the Workforce Assessment include the following: • Identify the community's healthcare needs, such as the need for behavioral health aides (BHATs), community health aides (CHAs), or dental health aide therapists (DHATs); • Gather data and interviews from community members, tribal members, leadership, and elected officials, related to community health care needs and opportunities; • Identify partners and stakeholders in the region who can help advance the Hualapai CHR workforce. A successful proposal should include specific strategies for implementing the Hualapai Tribe's workforce assessment and a time-delineated task list.
