The scope of the project includes all work required to design and construct a Multipurpose Machine Gun Range (FCC 17833) located at Wendell H. Ford Regional Training Center, Greenville, Kentucky. The work shall be in accordance with Request for Proposal documents. General Description of Work: The Multipurpose Machine Gun Range (MPMG) is used to train and test Soldiers on the skills necessary to detect, identify, engage, and defeat stationary and moving infantry targets along with stationary armor targets in a tactical array. It will satisfy the training and qualification requirements of light and heavy machine guns and grenade launcher weapons. Combat and combat support units require training proficiency in machine gun/grenade launcher weapon systems. Army standard ranges with target systems affording doctrinal densities and target types are the minimum necessary to prepare Soldiers for combat. The MPMG will support the training requirement of the Army on the 5.56 mm, 7.62 mm, 0.50 Caliber, Mk19, and 6.8mm (future).
