KPUD will enter into an on-call agreement for Telecommunication Network Design Engineering Services with the consulting firm that can best demonstrate experience and ability to perform services that include but are not limited to: 1. Provide Telecommunication Network Design Engineering Services on an on-call, as-needed basis for the KPUD. 2. Develop project areas with network designs and diagrams certified by a professional engineer, including: a. cost estimates, b. build-out timeline, and c. milestones for project implementation 3. Designs will cover approximately 8 different zones with a total of approximately 5000+ homes within the 8 zones. 4. Designs to include incorporation of hardware including Corning Terminals, XGSPON devices, and Active Ethernet technology. 5. Perform professional engineering inspections, evaluations, engineering calculations as requested. 6. Prepare technical specifications and construction documents as requested. a. Division 1 and bid documents to be prepared and compiled by KPUD staff. 7. Provide permit acquisition assistance as requested. Review and respond to Kitsap County Building Department (or other government entity) plan check review comments for building permit applications. 8. The intent of this on-call RFQ is to provide design services, however at KPUD’s discretion KPUD may add funds and proceed to continue with the hired consultant(s) during construction, for inspection, construction management, review of material submittals, material substitution requests, and requests for information and other tasks related to the BEAD funded project as requested. 9. Designs are intended to be provided in a GIS format that meets current KPUD standards. a. Additional information can be found in Exhibit A with an example in Exhibit B. b. An example of splicing associated with the maps in Exhibit B is attached as Exhibit C. 10. Other, similar, services related to professional engineering aspects of KPUD telecommunications projects.
