The MDTA is seeking consultant assistance to perform comprehensive Construction Management and Inspection (CMI) Services for the Francis Scott Key Bridge Reconstruction. The project’s scope of work includes comprehensive CMI services for the Progressive-Design-Build contract for the replacement of the approximately 2.3-mile-long Francis Scott Key Bridge (Key Bridge), located on I-695 crossing of the Patapsco River between Baltimore County, and Anne Arundel County Maryland. It is anticipated that the MDTA will follow its standard construction inspection policies and procedures for the administration of construction of the Progressive-Design-Build contract for the Key Bridge replacement. The Progressive-Design-Build contract will not alter the authorities of MDTA's Area Engineer, Project Engineer, or construction inspection personnel in their administration of the construction contract. It is also anticipated that MDTA will utilize the existing General Engineering Consultant (GEC) contract to provide program management services for the replacement of the Key Bridge, including providing leadership and direction to the Firms awarded these contracts. MDTA may award up to three (3) project-specific contracts for these services. The duration of the contracts will not exceed five (5) years. The total funding authority for these contracts cumulatively shall not exceed $60 million. No minimum amount of work or funds is guaranteed under this contract. All work performed under this contract must be for services as outlined in the contract scope of work and in conformance with all contract terms and conditions and payment provisions.
