All Blades - A. The difference between the highest and lowest tip point should not exceed 1/32 inch on any given blade assembly. B. The finished blade section shall be free of warpage and longitudinal deviation should not exceed 1/8 inch in a four foot blade section. C. Each blade section shall be identified with manufacturer's identification stamp on each end. D. The finished blade sections shall have markings showing the front edge of the blade to avoid improper mounting. E. All carbide blades should be standard sections with 12 inch hole centers, 1 1/2 inches from the top of the blade. F. A manufacturer specifications sheet must be submitted with the bid. Snowplow Blades - A. The blade shall be flat hot-rolled finished steel, to meet or exceed specifications for A36 or 1020 type steels. (Dane County has typically used 3/4” thick blades). B. Punching shall be 11/16 inch square holes with counter sink to receive 5/8 inch diameter plow bolts using the AASHTO punch pattern, 1 1/2 inches from the top of the blade. C.
