● Tree Watering o Water as needed as determined by Forestry on a weekly basis during the growing season for four years, approximately once per week from April to October. ▪ Water Amount: 6 gallons per inch of trunk diameter measured 4 inches from grade ▪ 1100 trees in first year of the contract, 2700 trees in the second year of the contract, 2700 trees in the third year of the contract, 1600 trees in the fourth year of the contract ▪ Vendor(s) need to coordinate with Forestry contact for watering schedule ▪ Water available for free fill-up at Forest Park with 2-inch pipe at 100 gallons per minute ▪ The City will work with vendors to get access to fire hydrants ▪ Planted trees will be 1 inch in diameter ● Tree Mulching o Mulch one time/year for 2 years, over a span of 3 years ▪ Mulch will be placed 4 inches away from the trunk, 4 inches deep, and at a 4-foot diameter. ▪ 1100 trees in first year of the contract, 2700 trees in the second year of the contract, 1600 trees in the third year of the contract o Mulch will be supplied by the City of St. Louis Forestry Division at Forestry Main office, 1415 N. 13th, 63106, between the hours of 7:00am-3:00pm with 30 minutes notice
