2. Sand Blasting: 2.1 Prep-work: Shall include; removal of reflectors and lights, covering and protecting hydraulic rams and pistons, tarp the cap and engine, mask fluid level indicators and identification plates, and remove license plates. Remove road tar and residue that will not remove during sand blasting procedures. 2.2 Sand Blasting/Powder Coating: Shall include; a complete sand blast pf all four sides including the bottom of the dump body, frame outside complete, front bumper complete, rear hitch assembly complete, sander tie-down holder complete, backside of rail bar cannot have rust, material between dump bed and tailgate must be completely blasted. Side boards need to be removed and blast one foot down all around the bed, the top headache rack needs a complete sand blast, and sand blast wheels completely. All other body panels will prepped, repaired and painted according to current auto body and paint standards. Chrome and aluminum shall not be sand blasted. Cost shall include both labor and materials. 3. Painting: 3.1. Prep-work: New steel, oil, grease, and flash rust need to be sand blasted and cleaned. 3.2. Painting: Items shall receive one coat of either DuPont Coral 25P or MP1 70 epoxy primer. Items with severe rust conditions must receive POR 15 rust preventative primer, with a topcoat primer added. Items with any open seams shall be caulked with #M 8405 flexi-clear or equivalent product. Complete units shall be painted to provide a minimum paint thickness of (4) four mils Drive Film Thickness (DFT). A UDOT representative shall verify thickness at the time of delivery. Dump bodies and exposed truck wheels shall be painted orange in color. Dump body bed bottom, truck frames, front plow frame, hydraulic box, toolbox, front bumper ends, and hitch plate shall be painted black in color. Hydraulic hoses, fittings and electrical connections shall not be painted. Equipment shall be painted to match truck cab and chassis. 3.3. Post Painting: Contactor shall re-install lights, reflectors, license plates, and any other accessories removed during prep-work. All accessories shall be installed to standards acceptable to Utah State Laws for continues operation of the equipment.
