POCAHONTAS COUNTY VETERANS MEMORIAL BRIDGE, located in Pocahontas County, West Virginia. The structure carries West Virginia (WV) Route 39 over the Greenbrier River and is located approximately 0.03 mile east of the junction with United States (US) Route 219. The existing structure consists of four (4) continuous wide flange beam spans supported by reinforced concrete abutments and piers. Built in 1959, the overall length of the structure is approximately 365.0 feet and the roadway width is approximately 28.0 feet. The BARS Number is 38A053. This project shall consist of the preparation of contract plans and related documents for the rehabilitation of the existing structure. The Consultant shall reference DD-681 and develop the appropriate Traffic Management Plan, which will also be required. The Consultant shall reference DD506 and use pollution prevention and discharge reduction methods in the design. As part of the WVDOH's desire to facilitate safety discussions for transportation projects, the Consultant shall complete and submit to the Traffic Engineering Division, the Safety Assessment for Every Roadway (SAFER) Form for the project as part of the Preliminary Field Review and Final Office Review. NEPA Documentation will be handled in-house by the Technical Support Division. Post Design Services, if required, shall be by a separate Agreement.
