Husky Den is a food court style dining location in the Husky Union Building at the University of Washington Seattle Campus that was last remodeled in 2012. Awarded supplier to remove and perform work off site in their workspace, reupholstery, deliver/return finished product and reinstall in the same location. On site work is not feasible or allowed for this project. HFS is requiring that the awarded vendor’s insurance will cover these items during transit and while at the reupholstery location including any subcontractors used during this project. HFS intends to award to one supplier but is open to a multiple award if there is a compelling reason to do so. HFS will determine this during the evaluation process. Awarded supplier to reupholster entire booth (seat and back). No wood refinishing required or desired. Upon discovery of structural repairs needed, discuss with owner before installing new upholstery. Subcontracting may be used for pick-up, delivery, and installation for this project. Reupholstery work must be done by bidding supplier’s personnel/employees. This project with banquet seating shall be performed in phases. All of the booth (approx. 70’) cannot be removed at one time because we need to have some seating remaining for the dining patrons. Phasing and sequencing TBD following award.
